Commercial properties and entities

I was wondering if the subject of commercial properties and entities has come up. To be more specific with my thought my understanding of purchasing a commercial property is putting it under a corporate entity specifically for that property.  I was wondering though if you were to obtain multiple commercial properties under that same entity like in residential or if the entity had to be series?

I feel like it is as simple as it does not really change from residential to commercial because the corporate structure is present and the liability is still present. I thought I would through this out there and hopefully someone can help with my understanding.
