Who is going after Self Storage in the Midwest?

Trying to take some of our Selfstorage money and enjoying it.  My wife has a hard time spending money.  
Used an existing frame down in Belize to build our house down there.  Great for Iowa winters.  Self storage is great.  I don’t understand why people do syndications  We can make more money using lenders.  With no questions along the way.  Just up front deal analysis.
