Trying to purchase grandparents' home and avoid capital gains tax
Hi BP,
My uncle wants to sell my grandparents' home in San Jose, CA. Is there a way I can purchase it from him and avoid the 40% capital gains tax? Someone mentioned possibly using a private loan to pay him and he "gift" it to me? Any information is helpful.
Thank you.
