Are contract for deeds still used in Texas??
I'm studing owner finance.I have heard not to use contract for deeds / installment contracts for selling in Texas. Well a few days ago a investor from a western state told me yes I could use installment contracts in Texas it just needed to be state specific. He said to go to USLeagleforms.com and type in contract for deed in Texas and they would have a Texas state specific contract for deed. It seems they are selling a state specific contract for deed. I looked at their sample and at the end is a disclaimer that says contact a attorney in your state.
