@Jay Hinrichs  You're right! Five of the Pennsylvania Counties are cheapest to buy a home!  They included: Fayette, Blair, Cambria, Mercer and Schuylkill.  These include the towns of:  Uniontown (SW Pa.), Hollidaysburg & Altoona (Central Pa.), Ebensburg & Johnstown (Central Pa.), Mercer (western Pa near Youngstown, Ohio), and Pottsville ( Central Pa.) and the home of Yuengling Beer, the oldest Brewery in USA.

But don’t forget.. what you pay for them now is what they’ll be worth 20 years from now.

A couple years ago I took a ride into Schuylkill County, a couple small towns.. met with a realtor, we looked at about 15 houses. I had my checkbook ready. I left there wanting nothing but a shower.

Houses didn’t even appreciate there in the boom of early 2000’s. And the rents are super cheap.
