How does a Series LLC from Delaware work

Hey Bigger Pockets Family,

I've been doing a lot of research on opening up a Series LLC for my retail properties.. I was wondering how would I be able to purchase properties under the LLC. Most banks are telling me it has to be under my personal name but I can receive my payments through the business. I'm trying to start the LLC for liability safety and tax benefits. Appreciate your time and thank you in advance.
