Self Directed IRA for Personal Use

Does anyone have any experience in borrowing money from our self directed IRA as a down payment for our personal primary residence? I am looking to put about $112k in mine and my wifes IRA then pull the money out as a loan to use for our down payment. Is this possible?

Second Question: Who is the best custodian for self directed IRA's?

Thank you all in advance for your time.

You are a disqualified individual so I doubt there is a compliant way to do this. There are ways to do an early withdrawal for a first time home purchase, that may be worth looking into.
