Licensed Realtor Purchasing in Unlicensed State Receiving a Fee?
I am a licensed Realtor in NC. I am looking to invest out of state where I'm not licensed. What is the proper etiquette for asking the out-of-state Realtor for a commission fee? Do you even do that? If you have asked for a Realtor fee or Referral fee for yourself, what have you asked for in the past (set price or percentage-wise)? I have referred friends and family members to other agents outside of where I'm licensed and collected usually a 25% commission fee. But what do you do when it's your own deal and is there a name for that type of fee? Thank you!
