Selling mold remediated home
Hello!
I am looking into buying a home that needs extensive mold remediation. I would like to fix it and flip it. Does anyone have experience reselling homes that have been remediated. I am concerned that previous mold may affect being able to resell it.
Any insight would be great!

From a contractors point of view that has done dozens of these properties.
Black mold was the scary words between 2005-2015. It is still in the top 5 concerns
of a buyer though.
I am not addressing your question directly but throwing a little curve!
Make sure you steal the property because of the issue. Mold must be removed.
And to remove it it requires that you remove the trim and then remove the mold, then
you have to re sheet rock , then tape and mud several coats of mud, then install new trim.
Then putty and caulk the trim, then repaint everything again, two coats at least. The you have to
treat it. ( the studs, around the area's that may have it ). Then you are supposed to dispose of it
properly . YUCK !!!!!!!
Make sure your deal is worth it.
If you can get $10,000 off the deal because of this post send me a texas road house certificate.
Just kidding.
If your property is done right ( re hab). most inspectors and new buyers will never know it happened!
Good luck
