Auction buy with no lawyer?

The county  is selling a few houses in my area online . I was told by the office 99% of their buyers don’t use a lawyer to close . 
has anybody ever bought online without an attorney ? 

all the forms and the title are already there to view online. Quit Claim deed , not responsible for taxes before 2021 .  thanks!
