New Development in Joshua Tree
I'm curious what peoples experience with considering new development in Joshua Tree (or surrounding areas) are. I understand there's a shortage of contractors, etc. in the area and that processing the permits can take a long time. Does anyone have any experience either attempting or completing a new development project out there? Thanks!

@Samuel Gostnell, it's going to depend on whether you are in city or county. If you're in the city of Yucca Valley or the city of 29 Palms, permitting and plan check are going to have shorter lead times than if you are in the unincorporated San Bernardino County areas such as all of Joshua Tree, and areas further north of the 62 in Yucca Valley, 29 Palms, and Landers.
For new build, my gc says expect 1 year from acquisition of land to the finished product.
