Questions about SDIRA

I have become more interested about SDIRAs after seeing them advertised in BP's Wealth magazine and more recently after reading Matt Faircloth's book "Raising Private Capital" and have a few questions. I am looking to find any one who has acted as a private lender using SDIRA to help me with a few questions, namely:

1. Are Roth SDIRAs a thing?

2. I know a custodian must actually hold the money (similar to the 1031 requirement), but how quickly can you access the money?

3. Is there a mandatory minimum which must be maintained in the account? If so, how much?

4. Potential pitfalls when lending through SDIRA?

If anyone out there has used this method of lending before, I would be very interested in picking your brain. Thanks!
