Does this count for an expense?
I have a buy/sell on a rental property but have not closed yet and decided to have two trees removed. One of the trees was growing into the power lines, and another one had broken branches that could have fallen on a car.
Can I deduct this expense, or am I out of luck since I did not officially own the house at the time of the tree removals?
