Finiding Vacancy Data

Hi BP community! Newbie investor here - I'm currently working on purchasing my first rental but having trouble finding reliable vacancy data to include in my analysis. How do you guys come up with your vacancy rates/find that data per market without having actual experience with renters/turnover in that market or in general?

Thank you!

@Mark Tomaszewski talking to a local property manager would be my first call, but you can try to find some information online at dept of numbers website.
