Hagerstown, MD Tenant Sreening

Hey everyone:

My wife and I are looking to purchase a small multi-family property in Hagerstown MD to house hack. I know a lot of people don't like the area, but we've visited, done our research, and feel that we'd be comfortable house hacking in one of the good parts of town.

Do any of you own rental units in Hagerstown? If so, I'd love to hear about what criteria you have, what systems you use, etc. I'm not trying to just buy houses and rent them out. We're trying to build an actual business and play the long game, so I'm looking for things that are systemic and can be replicated.

Any suggestions appreciated!
