Multi family HOA fees

I'm looking to buy a fourplex with HOA fees. I was trying to see when I am analyzing the property do I have to add capital expenditures if I am paying for HOA fee?

IT depends on the HOA, not all HOAs are going to cover things like HVACs and roof, I'd guess that most multifamilies with HOAs are primarily for landscaping and/ or community features like a pool, park, basketball court etc.
