Letters to property owners.

Joseph Van Fleet
Posted

Hello!

I'm going to be sending letters to some property owners I've found via tax records.  Does anyone have any tips or advice on how I should write the letters?  I've never done this before and I figure there must be a few things that should and should not be included.

Thanks for any advice!

Joe

I've never sent any letters out but I sure do get a lot of them. Most of them basically say "I want to buy your property at xxxx oak street, as is, quick close" or something to that extent. We're not interested in selling anything (especially at a discount) so they just go in the shredder. Some of them were yellow letters but haven't received many of those lately. Mostly just postcards and the occasional 1 page letter.

From the "receiver" end, I don't think there needs to be much in the letter other than what you want to do and how do they get ahold of you.
