Hi @Tamasia Williams, HOA fees can vary widely. When clients ask me about HOA fees, I always want to find out what's covered. Many will cover water, pest control, repairs to the roof and exterior walls, fences, landscaping, maintenance, security, insurance, some cover cable and internet. It's also Important to consider, is there a pool, gym, recreation facilities, outdoor BBQ. Another thing to check are the reserves and how they budget their funds. Are there any ongoing litigations, and how litigations have been handled in the pass. How long has the management company been operating the HOA, has it changed management companies, if so why. A lot of this will be discovered in escrow. I also like to ask residents how they feel about the HOA, and see if there is a census. Yet keep in mind everyone's experience is different. Hope that helps some.
