Tracking expenses across multiple projects

Kade Eiguren
Posted

Hello BP Fam!

My partner and I are currently getting into a few different fix and flip projects and i'm curious to know what programs/apps you use to make this easier. Expensify initially looked like a good one? Trying to track receipts from materials, labor/hours of our crew, etc.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Kade Eiguren!  For Fix and Flips I use Expensify, which is not specifically for real estate, but rather is a general business expense company.  It allows me to quickly file all my receipts by category and project and generate expense reports easily.

I've heard (from the company) that BuilderTrend has some robust functionality in this area that is specifically designed for contractors and builders, and could be worth an investigation if you find that a more generic expensing setup doesn't suffice.
