Investing in Pittsburgh
Hey BP community, I've been researching Pittsburgh properties and it looks like a great market with some good opportunities to fix and flip or buy and hold. Just curious to know if anyone else has had success there and what neighborhoods are ripe for investment. I live in the DC Metro area and the cost of living here makes it tough to get started investing when one doesn't want to take out conventional loans, so I'm looking at less pricey Midwest markets to get started. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

@Ryan Gandy, welcome to Pittsburgh! I think you are asking the wrong question, especially given Pittsburgh's dynamic street by street neighborhood differences in almost every submarket.
I'd start with the end in mind, what type of investment are you looking for? How would you qualify if it is a good investment? What's your tolerance for different types of tenants?
