1031 exchange question

Brian Knotts
Posted

Hello...im looking for a firm to help me with upcomig 1031 exchange.

Looking to buy (seller finance) ...or do lease purchase..... then swap it in a 1031 exchange after selling another property.

Its my understanding that a lease purchase may work better for a 1031 exchange.

Can use advise on how to structure lease purchase so as to enable it to be reciepient of later 1031 exchange.

Thanks....yall Pocket buds!!

Definitely seek out a professional such as @Dave Foster - There's a very specific order and timeline you'll need to follow to successfully complete a 1031. For example you generally can't buy first, then sell (at least not directly in that order for the two properties in the exchange)- and you'll need a qualified intermediary to handle both transactions.
