Sight unseen offers: Never serious, or higher level?
Thought this might be fun to hear opinions. My cousin and I were talking over the weekend about both making and reviewing sight unseen offers. Meaning making offers on properties you only review and analyze online, using MLS, public records, photos, google earth etc.. or reviewing sight unseen offers meaning you get a contract from a buyer and agent who never showed the property. I have my thoughts.. but what are yours?
Do you feel sight unseen offers are a natural progression to stay competitive and buy houses efficiently, or do you only offer on properties you've walked and reviewed in person? Upsides, and Downsides in your opinion?
Do you neglect offers from people who haven't seen your property because you think they are likely to back out or counter once they see the property? Or do you review and respond to every offer no matter what? Upsides, and Downsides in your opinion?
