Louisville KY home inspections
Hi!! I am a first time home buyer, and buying a rental property in Louisville KY from out of state.
How do I go about finding a home inspector? What do I look for- should I ask any specific questions when interviewing?
Thanks for the help!

Hi @Deanna Ulino! You want to make sure the inspector is comfortable and familiar with the type of property you are having inspected like size, age, and construction. If there is anything you have particular concerns about bring them up ahead of time so they can pay particular attention. Like hiring anyone else I suggest asking for references. Note: this year there was a change in regards to evidence of termites and treatment so if at all possible you will want get proof of treatment from the current owner and give it to the inspector before the inspection. I hope this helps.
