Real estate agent lied

Katelyn Bowen
Posted

I recently sold my house. I put it on the market for 345,000, the seller's agent came back and said it appraised for 340,000 based on square footage was off. I called the appraiser and asked how he obtained square footage. He admitted he goofed and sent a reappraisal. When I called the agent and told her about this she said I was in the wrong and hung up on me. We legally had to go thru with the sale at 340,00. Now I'm wondering if I have any leg to stand on to go after the real estate agent for that 5,000 or her BAC?
