TX County Sales Survey

For Texas Investors. Do you fill out the county sales survey questionnaire? I’m receiving questionnaires for each of the properties I purchased in 2019. The questionnaire says the information will be used to set “fair market” value. In most cases the tax value is lower than what I paid. This is usually the case with the tax roll not keeping up with appreciation.

I can see the county using this information to raise my taxes. I don’t believe I’m legally required to provide the information so I keep ignoring them.

What do others do?
