Rental Property across the country?

Hi guys! I've been wanting to start my real estate journey, but currently am stumped and hoping I could get advice about this situation. I live in Vancouver, BC but am wanting to invest in rental properties in Saskatchewan. The problem is that I am rarely in the country due to work. I am a professional figure skater and I travel doing shows both in the states, Asia, and Europe 10 months out of the year. If I were to buy a rental property would I have to be physically there or could a property manager or real estate agent help me with that?

I'm sorry if this sounds kind of a stupid question, just really hoping for some advice.

Thank you
-Gary
