Getting keys after buying a property

This question is meant for anyone who was on the buying side of a property purchase. Do you expect your agent to deliver the keys to you or maybe meet you at the new property or is it ok for him/her to just say “this is the lockbox code, please help yourself “? This has happened to me every single time and with different agents.
