15 year loan or 30 year loan?

I was looking at refinancing and am wondering what is the better choice. If I want to buy another home within a year would it be better to get a 30-year loan so my dti is lower or should I go with a 15 year and pay $100,000 of interest?

One can pay off a 30-year mortgage in 15 years but not vice versa.
