San Diego Area!

Hey everyone!

I've been reading this forum for roughly a month now, and there is a TON of useful information about real estate investing in general. However, I noticed that there weren't really any area specific posts, so I would like to start one for the San Diego area -- since that is where I am looking to invest within the next year.

My questions are, what do you guys think of the San Diego Area in general?

Also, I have read a few REI books that talk about "Location, Location, and Location", so what San Diego cities do you think have the most potential? I am having a lot of trouble of narrowing down the BEST cities in San Diego. I have heard a lot of hype about the Chula Vista area.

I just graduated college at UCSD, and accepted a job in the San Diego area (70k/year as an engineer). I've managed to save up 50k to invest in the RE. Please let me know your thoughts and what cities you think work best in San Diego.

Thanks in advance.
