I will be moving to Sacramento California soon but i am scared to do so, in a sense that i won’t be able to buy any investment properties. i heard its a bad market, Illinois have really high property taxes compare to Sacramento but there are a lot more foreclosures here. Can someone help me break down the pros and cons. Am i overreacting or this is legit a bad decision for me to move.

Reason for my move is that i want to be closer to my family.

Replied

I replied earlier in a hurry and before reading others’ comments. One piece of advice, don’t listen to the people that don’t live/invest here or some other high priced, appreciation market. The guys chasing 150 bucks a door in the south love to tell you how bad of an investment it is. It’s a different ball game here.

Find me some long term, buy and hold CA investors and see how many of them regret it....ZERO
