Investing in Southern Ontario

Ron Faller
Posted

My wife and I are looking to buy our second investment property in Southern Ontario. We still have about $120,000 in capital to use and know that we can get approved for $500,000. We like Windsor and maybe Cornwall. Any other good locations or strategies that others have found profitable?

Hi Ron, both locations have benefits for there locations. As Roy said St Kitts area is exploding and appreciation is great. With $500k you'd get a nice place. I can't speak the the cash flow as I'm not familiar with rents there. Scott mentioned Windsor, which I like, because for $500k you might find a 4plex and get great cash flow. Really depends on your motivation. Me, I think appreciation is speculation and should only be the icing on the cake. Cash flow is King in my books. At the end of the day both are good locations. I would also look at Hamilton.
