How much to build home? Calculate a profitable buy/build/flip?

How do I calculate whether buying a piece of land for 30k is worth the investment if im buying, fixing (build) OR wholesale and flipping it? anyone have a good method or system to calculate land purchases?

I think you need to look at what comparable lots are selling for and subtract the demolition cost from this figure. Then add back the value of sewer and water taps. This should give you the rough retail value of the lot.
