Investing in Alabama; scared of crime rate

Live in FL.  Been looking at investing in AL.  All the financials make sense especially in Huntsville which seems to be one of few bright spots in AL as far as growth and low unemployment.

Nervous about the crime rates overall.

Thoughts from those investing in AL?

Crime is a lot worst reading it online than living here.

In my opinion there are zero bad areas in Huntsville but several bad streets.

Hire a Realtor and a good property manager and your job is done.
