Moving to Maine from California

Hello BiggerPockets

I will be moving to Maine (Portland Area) at the end of this year. Im a new investor hoping someone here can give me a little insight in an area I know so little about.

I’m interested in non-commercial multi family apartments. I would be occupying the property, but I would like to find an area that would have the possibility to cash flow when I leave. I’ve spent some time looking in areas outside Portland (Westbrook, Gorham)

I’m used to commuting from the suburbs to the city, but i’m wondering if this happens to the same degree in Maine. I’ve heard there is a thing called snow there.
