Thank you Kelly. That seems like a smart first step.

Hello everyone,

I’m looking at a property in California that has a guy wire from a utility pole going over a walkway on the property and anchoring into the edge of the front driveway. It looks terrible and seems like a safety issue. I’m assuming that there is an easement though I’m going to go to my local records office to get the details.

My question is: Can it get the wire removed or moved to another side of the pole? How would I go about that if I chose to purchase?

Hello BiggerPockets

I will be moving to Maine (Portland Area) at the end of this year. Im a new investor hoping someone here can give me a little insight in an area I know so little about.

I’m interested in non-commercial multi family apartments. I would be occupying the property, but I would like to find an area that would have the possibility to cash flow when I leave. I’ve spent some time looking in areas outside Portland (Westbrook, Gorham)

I’m used to commuting from the suburbs to the city, but i’m wondering if this happens to the same degree in Maine. I’ve heard there is a thing called snow there.
