I'm ready to close on a house that I'm going to remodel. The bank missed the closing date and now they want to charge me 100 a day I'm ready to go this is a cash deal. Has anyone ran into this before. The bank picked the date 12/26. The title company requested an extension on the 19th because they were closed for Christmas on the 26th. The title company and my realtor were informed that the lender was out of town until the 27th, today, but we are going to have to pay 100 a day penalty for every day past the 26th evend though we have been ready for weeks.

If you picked the title co, and the title co was late, then it’s on you.  But, I definitely agree on using your own title co. A few hundred bucks should matter in the long run.

If the title co. was picked by the seller, then it’s on them.
