Newbie and wondering if I should become a RE professional

Hi all,

I am new here and am wondering if I should go ahead and get my real estate license in the state we plan on investing it.  We do not plan on investing in our local area, but the area we are looking in seems like a fit for our finances.

I would love to find out if I should go ahead and get my Real Estate professional license, how long that takes, and if it is transferable to different states. Like If I got my license next quarter, and we happen to have to move, can I transfer the license to another state if need be? Also, which is the most ecnomical, yet gets me what I need, MLS and other reports, a Broker or a Sales Person.

Thanks in advance

Mel
