Short Sale To Be Listed By Someone Other Than The Owner???

I got a call today from a friend that he wants me to list a house that is going to be a short sale he is not listed on the loan but wants me to make the listing agreement between my Company and him, I think the answer to this question is pretty obvious but I wanted to know has anybody ever done anything like this before?
