Floors vs Cabinets Debate

I need an opinion from disinterested party......

I’m involved with a debate between contractors. One is telling me to put in the floating engineered hardwood that will go throughout the first floor before anything else. The other is telling me to put in the kitchen cabinets first and cut the floors around the cabinets.

Putting floors in first will make the installation quicker and easier. However, I’ve heard putting cabinets on a floating floor can create problems for the floor because it can’t expand or contract.

Has anyone dealt with this issue?

Floating floors are the ONLY floor I would cut to cabinets.  I always install nail down wood or tile under cabinets.  I think it's a hack job otherwise.
