How do you negotiate with wholesalers?

I'm new to investing in real estate this year but I have already bought three properties I am looking to brrrr.

Looking back, I overpaid by about 10k on 100k properties in 2 of the 3 properties.

At the time I was lead to believe that with wholesaling, there isnt much negotiation but now I wish I had passed or negotiated lower.

My brrrr numbers are way harder to hit than they should be.

Does anyone have any advice moving forward?
