Is this railing up to code?
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if this railing is up to code. It is connected by two flanges into concrete steps and there is a gap at the top step between the railing and the patio post. My main worry is that the gap would be against code. Thoughts?
Sorry in advance for the rotation of the pic.

That is more than a 2 ft drop, so 4 inch spacing is usually max gap you can have. Looks like your gap is closer to 2 feet. I think you'll have to do something with that.
