Surplus tax property lien

Saad El Alami
Posted
I bought a properry through the surplus tax auction and found out that it has a lien of a line of credit that is $7000 and the loan is 13 years ago. The previous owner of the property had passed away 3 or 4 years ago. Not sure if this loan had been paid yet but there is no mortgage release on the recorder's office. So has anyone been through this before? What do you guys think it will happen. Just curious to know, i m meeting with my lawyer next week. Any info would be appreciated.
