Move out of state to house hack.

Hey all!  A thought popped in my head.  Move out of state to house hack a property because the current city I'm in (Denver) is slim pickings.  Texas or Florida come to mind because I could take advantage of the veteran property tax benefits and also the likelihood of obtaining a multi unit property would be much easier to get into.  It is a sacrifice to get started in real estate investing but I am curious to know if any investors out there have solely made an out of state move to house hack or just REI in general.  Thanks for reading and any advice is appreciated.
