Downsizing. Need advice?!?
My father owns a SFH free and clear . Its worth around $200k . Between the annual property tax and maintenance/upkeep it’s getting to much for him . He wants to down size to a condo with hoa for lower maintenance and less tax . So the question is what’s his best move ? When the dust settles will it be more affordable?

What kind of market is your dad in? If it's a strong sellers market, then it's a good time to sell a bigger home and downsize into a less expensive condo. Also, these things are not always financial decisions. If your dad is ready to move on, I see no reason to wait.
