Buying MF w/ Leases in place - how to transition Leases?

I am buying (2) duplexes next week, and one of the "challenges" posed by the Listing agent is how to transfer Leases as I'll be assuming those next week.  Should I ask the current property manager to amend their leases with my management company, or have them put notice to the tenants that I'll be in contact w/ them?   My most current plan is to contact the tenants right after closing directly and re-writing all the leases w/ my company's name/management.

One of the big contingencies w/ the current seller is that I honor the existing leases, which I plan to do however they really aren't legally binding unless I rewrite them, correct?  I'm going to do the right thing and honor the existing leases, though Interested in your thoughts on this!
