Section 8 (Maryland)
I have a former client who is looking to lease her current home to her mom who qualifies for the Affordable Housing Program (Over the age of 65 years of age/making less than 50% of the median). The former client is looking to purchase a new home in the area so that mom may be able to live an "independent lifestyle" in her twilight years.
Question: Would this be a conflict of interest with the mom receiving financial assistance from the state to lease from the daughter?
This is my first question asked on Bigger Pockets and I hope this is the right forums to ask a "Realtor" type question.
Thanks, in advance.
