Investing Partner Interview?

Hello,

What do you folks look for in someone when considering forming a partnership to purchase a property together?

How did you meet partners, and what kinds of questions do you ask them about to figure out if you'll make a good partnership?

I'm looking at buying a property and the person with a backup offer contacted me and wanted to discuss the option of partnering up. It doesn't seem like a bad idea to share the risk with someone else. Also, it obviously halves the benefits of a deal.
