Investing Partner Interview?

Hello,

What do you folks look for in someone when considering forming a partnership to purchase a property together?

How did you meet partners, and what kinds of questions do you ask them about to figure out if you'll make a good partnership?

I'm looking at buying a property and the person with a backup offer contacted me and wanted to discuss the option of partnering up. It doesn't seem like a bad idea to share the risk with someone else. Also, it obviously halves the benefits of a deal.

@Eamon Conheady I do Joint Venture Agreements all the time. It can propel you to greatness done correctly, because it can get you to places you can't otherwise do. But, I am very selective in who I partner with, all aspects are clearly spelled out in the Agreements and I wait until everything is in place before making an offer on a house.
