Finding properties to Flip

Hi everybody,

I am new to real estate.  I have read books, gone to workshops, attended webinars.  Now I am in the market looking.  I am interested in flipping and wholesaling to begin with.  Later I will look at rentals after my 5th deal.

My challenge is finding my first deal. I am looking at the MLS listings using realtor.com from the map. Every time I think I see a good deal, it is already under contract or it is pending. I am not giving up.

I joined the REIA last week and I have signup to go to my first investors' networking meeting next week.

Anybody have tips on how to get deals.  I am up late at night looking at listings.  Some agents do not answer, they want you leave message; but they do not return your calls.  What I have done lately is to call their local offices to speak to other agents regarding property.  I have been building relationships with those agents.

I am very ready to get my first deal.  Please wish me luck.
