Duplex in Florida on a 5+ Acres of land no more than 250K
Hello Floridians Realtors , I need your help, here is the perfect scenario.
- 5+ acres.
- 2 houses separate in the same lot.
- Both houses 3X2 at least
- 1600 SF+ one of the houses.
- No more than 250K.
This is the perfect house that I'm looking for, my plan is to buy now, rent both houses for two years, so I MUST be able to legally rent both houses and than I will be moving to one of the houses myself.
I have been looking on Zillow and must of the places that fit this criteria are on north west of the estate and I need help and guidance from someone that know the area very well.
I'm pre-approved and ready to move forward with the deal when we find it.
Thank You very much for your help.

Pedro Santos I think your first step is to jump on Trulia, Zillow, etc. and look for any multifamily listing with 5+ acres. Take price out of the equation for the moment (or just cap it at $1M to take out large apartment complexes) and just see where/if they are clustered in Florida. Odds are you'll get something that looks like a heatmap. At the very least you'll be able to carve out areas (think: Miami) where a 5+ acre lot is worth more than $250K. Additionally, you can also just do the same search for 5+ acre lots and set the price ceiling at $250K. Again, I'm guessing you'll get another heatmap. Odds are you won't get 2 homes on a piece of land of the prevailing price for the dirt is more than $50K an acre. Start with these self-service ideas and then you can reach out to local realtors in those cities/counties to see how your expectations match up reality.
