Investing in short term rentals in Bahamas and Caribbean

Does anyone have any insight into the short term rental market in the Caribbean / Bahamas? I'm looking at a property in the Bahamas and have not come across any issues as places are facing here with the short term rental market. In fact, for nice places it seems to be very healthy! I'm considering a purchase of several units and moving there to manage them. Just thought I would get some potential feedback from others who may have done something similar.

Just landed in the Bahamas to look at a few condo's I bought.

I'm going to give Airbnb a shot and VRBO

I can let you know how it works in 6 months or so

I love the Bahamas :)
